The first Sunthetics Pilot plant at Lillaeng site

Imagine the durability and long-term commitment required to sustain years of continuous work in pursuit of a meaningful cause. At Sunthetics, this dedication is now yielding tangible results. The company has made significant progress, marked by major technical milestones and steady forward momentum.

The Sunthetics e-fuel reactor is the result of more than 15 years of development. Today, the system is operating in its final, scalable unit configuration—designed specifically for deployment in solar fields and other distributed energy applications. This marks a key transition from long-term development to industrial readiness.

Sunthetics is currently conducting validation tests on the final e-fuel reactor design and has initiated the certification process for its e-fuel under the ISCC framework, in accordance with the EU 202-6 standard. Once certified, Sunthetics e-fuel will be eligible for trading and use as a verified net-zero-emissions energy carrier, supporting the transition to a resilient and sustainable energy system.

And it's actually reducing CAPEX and OPEX with this novel technology that also has its benefits in service life and fuel quality with its real time chemistry analysis and control system. And the production rates is possible to size to any plant size from kW's to MW's with one single modular plant structure in similar design as any solar power or wind power plant etc.

Manufacturing is possible and easy to scale and mass produce. Safety is very high due to the zero hydrogen inventory and process layout without intermediate hydrogen storages etc out in the solar fields.  This enable the use of CE-certified equipment that is safe to use and easy to manage in plant design, permitting and construction with many different cost reductions for developers and plant owners alike.
